Job Description

The Mechanical Technician will travel to various facilities to install a 'Gap Filler' in recently installed conveyors and add a spring-loaded coil in the gaps of existing conveyors around the US. Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. They will be at Amazon facilities and must follow all EH&S requirements set by said Amazon facility. Safety is key! High school diploma or equivalent required, technical degree preferred. ? Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics. ? Strong problem-solving and analytical skills ? Ability to work independently and in a team environment ? Excellent communication and interpersonal skills ? Willingness to travel to client sites frequently. ? Physical ability to work in a field installation environment, including the ability to lift and carry heavy equipment. ? Experience with basic hand and power tools LANGUAGE SKILLS: ? Ability to read and interpret documents such as proposals, blueprints, specifications, and procedure manuals ? Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. ? Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers. ? Fluent in reading and writing English ? Understanding of Spanish is a plus COMPUTER SKILLS: ? Must have proficiency with Microsoft Office products. ? Must have technical ability to use a mobile device such as a smartphone, tablet or laptop computer PHYSICAL DEMANDS: ? Ability to use multi hand and power tools associated with conveyor installation. ? While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk and reach with hands and arms and pick up items of at least 50 lbs. ? Employee will be exposed to materials that have SDS sheets but are not life threatening. ? Ability to climb ladders, operate a forklift and scissor lift and practice proper safety per OSHA standards.
