HR Specialist

WGNSTAR is a dynamic and growing company with a global footprint, primarily focused on the semiconductor industry. They are seeking an HR Specialist to coordinate onboarding activities, maintain employee records, and support HR initiatives while ensuring compliance with company policies and local regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for onboarding-related questions, providing timely, accurate information and escalating complex issues when appropriate
  • Coordinate end-to-end onboarding activities for new hires by following established processes and timelines, ensuring all pre-employment requirements for internal and external customers are completed accurately and on schedule
  • Lead and/or support weekly New Hire Orientation sessions, delivering consistent information on company policies, culture, and values
  • Enter, update, and maintain employee data within the HRIS system, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company procedures
  • Process and maintain HR transactions, including new hires, personal change requests and time‑and‑labor system maintenance
  • Conduct scheduled data quality audits and resolve discrepancies by applying predefined correction processes; escalate unresolved issues as needed
  • Maintain accurate and compliant employee records, including I‑9 forms and E‑Verify documentation, in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Assist with compliance activities by completing assigned tasks in alignment with company policies and timelines
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support HR initiatives and contribute to organizational objectives

Skills

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in HRIS Software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to effectively communicate and strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work in an environment with frequent interruptions and changing tasks and priorities
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively with employees and managers at all levels
  • Strong sense of urgency in both action and communication
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed
  • Prior experience in an HR, onboarding, or shared services environment
  • Working knowledge of federal employment laws and HR compliance requirements
  • Experience using Paylocity
  • Experience using Fieldglass or other vendor management systems
