Remote Medical Transcriptionist Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Transcriptionist to join our team in a remote capacity. As a Medical Transcriptionist, you will play a critical role in transcribing and editing recorded medical information, ensuring accuracy and quality in all aspects of your work. Key Responsibilities

  • Transcribe and edit recorded medical information, including patient histories, consult letters, and physician correspondence
  • Verify accuracy of patient information, including names and identification numbers
  • Match complaints to diagnoses using medical records and review reports for accuracy
  • Research and correct dictated language to ensure concise and accurate text
  • Collaborate with the Team Lead to resolve questions and inconsistencies in dictated language
  • Meet minimum daily line requirements and maintain high levels of productivity

Requirements

  • High school diploma required; formal training through an accredited transcription program preferred
  • 5+ years of experience as a medical transcriptionist in a hospital, urgent care facility, or medical specialty preferred
  • Knowledge of medical transcription guidelines and practices
  • Excellent English usage, grammar, punctuation, and style skills
  • Ability to use professional reference materials and operate word processing equipment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications and transcription-specific software products
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and concentrate under pressure
