Job Summary:

We're seeking a passionate technologist to resolve cloud transformation challenges, develop solutions to modernize framework services, and create templates to standardize and accelerate application cloud processes. As a Cloud Technologist at American Airlines, you'll collaborate with skilled technologists to design and develop enterprise-scale, internally acquired platforms using cutting-edge technologies to drive innovation and engineering excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with product owners, stakeholders, and team members to understand product and customer needs and develop solutions
• Improve customer experience by creating self-service software delivery capabilities
• Work with stakeholders to implement best practices to solidify and secure software delivery pipelines while making it easy for engineering teams to use
• Integrate upstream and downstream development/QA testing/security investigation tools into the enterprise toolchain
• Continuously seek opportunities for innovation and improvement of the Enterprise DevOps toolchain product
• Mentor and train engineering teams and individual colleagues to improve their coding practices

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, STEM, or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
• 4 years of experience in setup, automation, integration of CI/CD tools
• Preferred experience with full-stack software development, container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure as code (Terraform)
• Knowledge of common networking protocols, load balancers, firewalls, and storage
• Experience with DevOps enablement for Cloud (Azure preferred)
