Senior NetSuite Developer

Job Title: Senior NetSuite Developer   Location: Remote (US-Based)   Employment Type: Long Term Contract  About the Role:   We are seeking an experienced Senior NetSuite Developer to join our remote technical team in the US. This role plays a critical part in enhancing and supporting our NetSuite ecosystem, with a strong emphasis on Advanced Revenue Management (ARM), system integrations, and scalable business processes. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of NetSuite's revenue recognition functions and bring hands-on experience in the full software development lifecycle (SDLC).  

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain customizations and configurations within NetSuite , with a focus on the Advanced Revenue Management (ARM) module.  
• Translate complex business requirements into technical solutions leveraging native NetSuite features as a primary approach.  
• Create and maintain scripts (SuiteScript 1.0/2.0), RESTlets, workflows, saved searches, and custom records to optimize NetSuite functionality.  
• Work with stakeholders to capture, analyze, and document functional and design specifications, especially around revenue recognition and related finance modules.  
• Collaborate cross-functionally with QA engineers to ensure thorough test coverage across use cases and validate system performance post-deployment.  
• Provide ongoing support, enhancements, and troubleshooting within the NetSuite platform.  
• Maintain codebase using GitHub and document tasks and progress via Jira  
• Stay current on NetSuite releases and enhancements, assessing impact and implementing updates as needed. Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of hands-on NetSuite development  experience, with a strong command of SuiteScript, workflows, and RESTlets.  
• Direct experience with NetSuite Advanced Revenue Module (ARM), including item catalog structure, revenue rules, and event triggers.  
• In-depth understanding of revenue recognition principles and processes, both in general and specific to NetSuite functionality.  
• Experience in writing and interpreting technical documentation and functional specifications  
• Proven ability to handle all stages of the SDLC – from requirements gathering and solution design to implementation, testing, and support.  
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. 
• Comfortable working independently in a remote environment, managing priorities and deadlines effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

•  Experience with GitHub for version control and Jira for project/task management.  
• NetSuite Certifications (e.g., SuiteFoundation, ERP Consultant, Developer) are a strong plus.  
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.  
• Background in working with QA teams and understanding testing use cases and automation.
