Job Overview: As a Part-Time Payroll Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining financial records, processing accounts payable and receivable, and handling payroll tasks. Your attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently will make you an invaluable asset to our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll for clients on a bi-weekly or monthly basis, ensuring timely and accurate submission of payroll taxes and reports.
  • Maintain payroll records, including employee information and changes, and reconcile payroll accounts as needed.
  • Assist with general bookkeeping tasks, such as reconciling bank accounts and managing accounts payable/receivable.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and respond to client inquiries regarding payroll issues.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Payroll Bookkeeper or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processes and relevant tax laws.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with clients and team members.
  • High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with bookkeeping, payroll, or a similar field.
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or similar certification.
  • Experience working with multiple clients or in an accounting firm setting.
