Field Service Engineer

JBT Marel is looking for a Field Service Engineer to join our dedicated Service team in the Valencia to cover the Mediterranean region.

You will play a key role in supporting our customers in the RFS sector, ensuring optimal machine performance and customer satisfaction. While your base will be in Spain, this role requires regular travel to Portugal & across the Mediterranean.

Your Role

As a Field Service Engineer, you are the technical face of JBT Marel in the field. You will:

• Perform installations, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of Marel equipment at customer sites.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot production issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum performance.
• Prepare and execute service jobs, ranging from short-term support to multi-day projects.
• Lead and coordinate local labour for larger installation projects.
• Communicate effectively with customers, keeping them informed and confident in our solutions.
• Provide on-site training to customers and share feedback with internal teams to drive continuous improvement.

You’ll work closely with experienced colleagues both on-site and remotely, ensuring knowledge sharing and a collaborative approach to problem-solving.

What You'll Bring

You are hands-on, independent, and thrive in dynamic environments. You understand the balance between technical excellence and outstanding customer service. You also:

• Have a degree in Mechatronics, or equivalent vocational qualification with proven experience.
• Have 3–5 years of relevant field service experience.
• Have a strong mechanical aptitude; basic knowledge of electrical/control systems is a plus.
• Have a good command of English (spoken and written).
• Have a valid passport, residence permit (Spain), and driver’s license.
• Possess a willingness to travel extensively (up to 80%, including 50% international).
