Join to apply for the Social Media Producer role at The Walt Disney Company.The Social Media Producer is a key member of the ABC News Social Team, responsible for producing and distributing content across all social platforms, including YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, X, and Threads. The producer will create and post social content across several ABC News brand accounts, including ABC News, ABC News Live, Good Morning America, and more.This candidate will collaborate with the digital and broadcast teams to optimize both linear content and original digital content across all social media platforms. The role requires proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, including editing videos with Adobe Premiere, creating graphics with Canva and Photoshop, and writing captions using SEO best practices.The candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, demonstrating impeccable judgment and social acumen, especially regarding breaking news. Experience in producing and distributing content during breaking news situations is essential. The candidate should also be comfortable working with talent as needed.The role requires knowledge of the social media landscape for news. The producer should leverage social analytics to make data-driven decisions in production and publishing strategies, with a demonstrated track record of editorial excellence.The candidate must be willing to work weekends and nights, generally from 12-9 pm ET Tuesdays – Fridays and 9 am-5 pm ET on Saturdays, with hours subject to change based on staffing needs.Responsibilities:Guide the voice of ABC News and its shows on social mediaProduce engaging content, including graphics and videos, for social platformsDevelop and implement social media strategies to drive revenue, traffic, brand awareness, followers, engagement, and conversions to linear and streaming platformsIdentify new social opportunities in collaboration with producers across brandsBasic Qualifications:Minimum four years of managing social media accounts for a news organizationExperience as a multimedia, cross-platform producerAbility to work under tight deadlines and pressureEffective written and verbal communication skillsAdherence to high journalistic standardsPreferred Qualifications:Experience working with high-profile talentGrowing social followings for news brands on TikTokExperience with social publishing tools like DashHudson, SocialFlow, or SproutTransforming linear news content into social-friendly formatsEducation:Bachelor’s Degree requiredBachelor’s in journalism, political science, or related field preferred #J-18808-Ljbffr Apply Job!
