JOB TYPES : MUST be a U.S. citizen. Full-time. SPECIALITIES : This role involves acute care, clinical, radiology. RESPONSIBILITIES : Transcribe or edit medical dictation performed by physicians and other healthcare providers into a computerized medico legal document according to established productivity and quality standards. Verify the patient s name, medical record number, visit number, admission and discharge dates using both visual proofreading and electronic spell checking. Ensure that obvious inconsistencies, discrepancies and inaccuracies are recognized and appropriately revised, edited or clarified without altering the meaning of dictation or changing the dictator s style, supporting the Medical Record department's mission of providing quality. QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS : High school diploma or equivalent. Certified Medical Transcriptionist preferred. One year of experience as a medical transcriptionist in an acute care setting in all work types and specialties preferred. Must demonstrate quality transcription work, consistently maintaining an accuracy score of 98 or higher. Must have working knowledge of word processing either through schooling or work experience. JOB REQUIREMENTS : Home office set-up. High speed internal Internet (NO satellite). USB-Infinity foot pedal (DVI USB foot pedals not compatible).
