About the position As an Amazon Delivery Station Warehouse Associate, you will be an integral part of a dedicated team responsible for the last stop before orders are delivered to customers. This fast-paced and active role involves receiving trucks full of orders and preparing them for delivery. Your responsibilities will include loading conveyor belts, transporting, and staging deliveries for drivers. You may also work with larger items such as televisions, furniture, and appliances, and receive training on how to handle these heavy bulk items using technology. In this role, you will be expected to receive and prepare inventory for delivery, utilizing technology such as smartphones and handheld devices to sort, scan, and prepare orders. You will also build, wrap, sort, and transport pallets and packages. Physical demands include lifting up to 49 pounds, receiving truck deliveries, and following prompts on screens for various tasks. You will be required to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during your shifts, and may need to use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other equipment to move items around. Additionally, you may need to navigate stairs and work at heights of up to 40 feet on a mezzanine, depending on the location. The work environment at an Amazon Delivery Station is dynamic, with moving machines such as order pickers, stand-up forklifts, turret trucks, and mobile carts. You may experience varying temperatures, ranging from 60?F to 90?F, and noise levels can be high, for which hearing protection is provided.
