Job Summary: Join the Fiesta Mart team as a Restaurant Checker at our Bellaire Blvd location in Houston, TX! As a Restaurant Checker, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring that customers have an exceptional experience by providing friendly and efficient service. You will be responsible for handling transactions, providing great customer service, and supporting the smooth operation of the restaurant area. Responsibilities: • Provide enthusiastic, friendly, and efficient customer service at the cash register. • Accurately process customer transactions using the Point of Sale (POS) system. • Handle cash and electronic payments accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures. • Ensure the restaurant area remains clean, organized, and welcoming for customers. • Assist in generating sales by promoting special offers, products, and services. • Collaborate with the team to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and on time. • Maintain knowledge of store policies, menu items, and pricing. • Work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet business needs. • Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines and ensure the proper handling of food products. • Assist with other duties as needed to support restaurant operations. Qualifications and Experience: • Ability to read and write in both Spanish and English. • Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with the public and coworkers. • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, and pricing codes. • Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds regularly, up to 45 pounds frequently, and occasionally lift up to 60 pounds. • Basic math skills and the ability to handle cash accurately. • Previous cashier or customer service experience preferred. • Food Handler Card or equivalent certification required (or the ability to obtain one). • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks at once. • Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. It Would Be Extra Awesome If You Brought: • Basic PC/Outlook skills. • Retail Management Certificate.
