Technical Copywriter

Technical / Copy Editor Austin TX Long Term Contract · Provide editorial services for various content types, including but not limited to eLearning/SGT modules, Live Classes, Knowledge base articles, Internal documentation (technical and non)and guidelines, etc. · Copy edit and write technical, instructional, and other online content using the Apple Style Guide and Chicago Manual of Style · Write succinct, creative, and effective copy for headlines, course descriptions, and other marketing materials. · Responsible for: · Reviewing and editing content for clarity, grammar, punctuation, and style consistency. · Ensuring compliance with Apple’s editorial guidelines and brand voice. · Refining structure and flow for improved readability and learner engagement. · Fact-checking and verifying terminology and references as needed. · Providing feedback and suggestions for content improvement. · Interpreting and simplifying technical concepts and jargon for a lay audience · Deliverables include: · Fully edited and proofread documents with tracked changes and comments. · A summary of major edits and suggestions for content enhancement. · Meet deadlines for review. · Provide regular communications, including, but not limited to updates in meetings, and via online communication tools, with various stakeholders, leadership, and people across Apple and vendors as needed · Develop/Edit content on, and for, macOS, iOS, and iPad; and, use a variety of tools to create content, such as but not limited to editing software, LMS/CMS, content creation tools/software · Collaborate with content developers across modalities to make consistent and cohesive training/documentation · Provide editing review of training material reviews, project documents asset management, and various regional editing projects Thanks Jay 628-215-2224 Job Types: Full-time, Contract Pay: $38.98 - $42.27 per hour Schedule: • 8 hour shift • Day shift Education: • Bachelor's (Preferred) Experience: • eLearning/SGT modules: 1 year (Required) • Copy editing: 5 years (Required) • Develop/Edit content on, and for, macOS, iOS, and iPad: 1 year (Required) • Apple Style Guide and Chicago Manual of Style: 1 year (Required) Work Location: In person Apply Job!
