NeoGenomics is looking for a Manager of Medical Operations wants to continue to learn in order to allow our company to grow. This is a remote position with a Monday – Friday day shift. Together, we will become the world's leading cancer reference laboratory. Position Summary: As the Manager of Medical Operations serves as a critical operational leader of the medical team. This individual plays pivotal roles in analytics and reporting, project management, capacity assessment, and staffing planning/modeling. This position is responsible for assisting with the development and implementation of department objectives, strategies, policies, and procedures while ensuring efficient operations and the achievement of high-quality outcomes. The Manager of Medical Operations collaborates with various stakeholders to align resources, manage budgets, and drive performance to support the company's growth objectives. Responsibilities: • Develop dashboards to monitor key department metrics (turnaround time, quality, customer service, productivity, etc.) • Develop capacity models (at the subspecialty level) and ensure that all divisions/departments are staffed adequately for the scope of service and necessary turnaround time (as allowed/approved by budgeting) • Prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely resolution and adherence to agreed-upon deadlines • Drive efficiency within the medical team • Plan and develop objectives and goals for divisions/departments; ensure development, implementation, and administration of department policies, procedures, turnaround time, and quality; participate in long-range planning and strategy development across all sites • Collaborate cross-functionally to integrate medical operations with other operational units in the business • Manage per diem (daily/hourly contractor) staffing to flex capacity as needed • Develop and support onboarding activities for new members of the medical team • Oversee and support monitoring of ongoing medical licensure and CME status of the medical staff Experience, Education and Qualifications: • Bachelors Degree Required • Five years of prior experience in operations • Two years of experience preferred within a commercial laboratory or other healthcare environment • Proven experience in project management, strategic planning, and operational leadership • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and with analytics and reporting tools, such as Tableau • Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems and make timely decisions • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and with analytics and reporting tools, such as Tableau Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems and make timely decisions • Prior experience in a healthcare or clinical services environment, including familiarity with CAP/CLIA regulations, is highly desirable Apply Job!
