Senior Pharm Care Technician - Schaumburg, IL

About the position As a Senior Pharmacy Care Technician at UnitedHealthcare, you will engage in telephonic outreach to Medicare members, their physicians, and pharmacies to enhance health quality outcomes, focusing on medication adherence and appropriate drug utilization. This role emphasizes collaboration within a pharmacy team and offers a supportive culture for professional growth. The position is hybrid-remote, requiring one day of onsite work per month. Responsibilities • Perform telephonic customer outreach to improve health quality outcomes in collaboration with clinical pharmacists. , • Provide additional telephonic engagement with providers and pharmacies. , • Assess and interpret customer needs and requirements, triaging to a clinical pharmacist when appropriate. , • Make outbound calls to CAHPs detractors and MedAdh members to improve member experience and reduce barriers to adherence drugs. , • Document and track member engagement. Requirements • High School Diploma/GED (or higher). , • Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Illinois. , • National Pharmacy Technician Certification. , • 3+ years of Pharmacy Technician experience. , • Beginner level of proficiency with navigating Microsoft Office and a Windows-based environment. Nice-to-haves • Retail and/or mail order pharmacy experience. , • Experience with Part D claims adjudication.
