QA Tester- REMOTE

The Quality Assurance Analyst works with management and team members to enhance and maintain the company's Technology products. This includes, creating and executing test plans, working with development staff to correct issues prior to a production release, and training business users on new or modified applications. This role will continuously and consistently evaluate work and determines if further testing is needed to meet/exceed customer expectations. This position is 100% remote. Required Skills & Experience • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or relate field or a minimum of 3+ years of relevant work experience. May hold or are pursuing an industry certification. • Manual testing and SQL experience • Direct hands-on experience with ad hoc query programs • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Experience with test management and defect tracing tools • Detail-oriented and possess strong problem-solving skills • Ability to focus on deadlines and deliverables • Strong interpersonal and communication skills • Previous experience in the insurance industry is highly desired What You Will Be Doing Daily Responsibilities • Requires a developed skill set and proficient within own discipline. • Continues to build knowledge of the organization, processes and customers. • Collaborate with software/systems personnel in application testing, such as system, unit, regression, load and acceptance testing methods • Provide estimates on testing tasks within a project. • Make recommendations for improvement of applications to system analysts and programmers. • Conduct increasingly complex work assignments. May lead QA steps within a broader project. Test Planning for small projects. • Moderate supervision with some latitude for independent judgement. • Able to use prescribed guidelines or policies to analyze and resolve problems by oneself.
