Sr. Reinsurance Underwriter

American Family Insurance is looking for an experienced Senior Reinsurance Underwriter to join our team. We are looking for an individual with the knowledge and expertise to effectively evaluate and underwrite reinsurance policies. The successful candidate will be a detail-oriented team player, committed to providing excellent customer service and eager to work in a fast-paced environment.The Senior Reinsurance Underwriter will be responsible for analyzing reinsurance applications and policy forms, ensuring that all criteria are met and that the risk is accurately evaluated. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, along with a thorough understanding of the reinsurance market and underwriting principles.Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Risk Management, or related field• 8+ years of reinsurance underwriting experience• Extensive knowledge of the reinsurance market and underwriting principles• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload• Ability to work independently and as part of a team• Excellent written and oral communication skills• Ability to make sound decisions quickly and accurately Responsibilities of the Senior Reinsurance Underwriter: Analyze reinsurance applications and policy forms to ensure all criteria is met and that risk is accurately evaluated. Maintain an in-depth understanding of the reinsurance market and underwriting principles. Prioritize workload and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and updates. Collaborate with colleagues to complete complex projects. Develop and implement reinsurance underwriting strategies.
