Grocery Delivery Specialist

Job Description: Whole Foods Market is committed to providing our Prime Now customers with exceptional grocery delivery services, and we're looking for enthusiastic individuals who share our love for quality products and customer service. Working on the Store Support team as an In-Store Shopper, you'll be responsible for fulfilling Prime Now customer orders by selecting and preparing products for delivery or pickup. You'll be combing through our store inventory to select and obtain everyday goods such as food and household items. To serve our customers better, we require Team Members who are flexible with their schedules. We are looking for individuals who are willing to work on the weekends, especially Saturday and Sunday, which are our busiest days. We prefer to hire Shoppers who can work during odd hours like nights and holidays. Availability Requirements: • Team members receive their work schedule three weeks ahead of time • A shift typically lasts for a time period of 4 to 8 hours Job Requirements: • Gone are the days of having to manually handle orders with widespread use of mobile technologies • We ensure prompt and meticulous handling of all online orders • Methodical, demonstrating attention to detail in product and order fulfillment • Being eager to learn the intricacies of product knowledge, customer service standards, and store operations is key • Possessing the proficiency to organize the staging area systematically and keeping it free from clutter is a valuable skill • Preparedness to lend a hand in multiple departments of the store, such as assisting with bagging and carrying groceries, stocking shelves, and providing customer assistance. Basic Qualifications: • The criterion entails that the person should have crossed the age threshold of 18 years • Skill in basic English reading and conversation • The job requires a certain level of physical aptitude that includes the capacity to lift up to 40 pounds, remain standing or walking for a minimum of 6 hours, and regularly carry out movements such as pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, and reaching, with or without feasible accommodations • Obtaining a high school diploma or its equivalent signifies a level of perseverance and determination that can serve as an inspiration for future success The position entails working under specific physical requirements and conditions: • Being capable of carrying a load of 50 pounds is a must-have for this role. • During the standard 8-hour work day, individuals are commonly required to stand or walk for the majority of the time, approximately 6-8 hours, while the other hours are spent sitting. • Pushing and pulling are fundamental movements that hands are capable of, used frequently for tasks like pulling a door open or pushing a shopping cart down the aisles. • To effectively carry out their work tasks, workers must perform physical actions that include bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching. • Utilization of FDA approved cleansing products. • Understanding the different categories of temperature, ranging from below freezing to scorching hot, is crucial for protecting our health and well-being. • Capability to function on a program that is adaptable to the circumstances, which may involve being present during night shifts, weekends, or holidays. • Aptness in the usage of diverse tools and equipment, like box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery. • Using a ladder might be a prerequisite to accomplish this task.
