Key Responsibilities Conduct outbound communications with patients and insurance representatives to facilitate prompt payment or payment arrangements. Collaborate with various insurance providers, including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurers, to address and resolve billing discrepancies. Review and maintain patient account accuracy regarding billing and payment records. Engage with patients to discuss options for resolving outstanding balances and establish feasible collection solutions. Adhere to company policies and procedures in the collection of payments. Required Skills Exceptional communication skills to effectively engage with patients and insurance providers. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications. Familiarity with EPIC and insurance payer portals for claims processing. Strong comprehension of payer contracts and medical terminology. Capable of crafting effective appeals when necessary. Qualifications A minimum of 3 years of experience in hospital collections is required. Knowledge of hospital billing procedures, particularly within California healthcare systems. Demonstrated experience utilizing EPIC and payer portals for claims and payment processing.
