Job Description: Retail Product Specialist Purpose: For anyone shopping at Floor & Decor, the Retail Product Specialists are a valuable resource who make the shopping experience fast-paced and safe by maintaining a clean and well-stocked sales environment. These qualities are regarded as crucial determinants of success in our company: • Friendly and enthusiastic • Entrepreneurial and hard-working • Honest and accountable • Excellent communication and attentive listening proficiencies Essential Job Functions: • Establish contact with customers, inquire regarding their projects, suggest goods, and stimulate enthusiasm about sales. • Offer customer service that goes above and beyond what is expected. • Our objective is to preserve the assigned areas in a constant state of being fully stocked, tidy, and hazard-free, allowing for a comfortable shopping atmosphere. • Promote teamwork with management and peers to reach sales objectives. • Handle customer transactions using the POS system. • Follow the guidelines in place for handling customer refunds and exchanges. • Maintain the prescribed procedures for accepting payments through cash, checks, or credit cards. • Create labels for pricing and promotional purposes, monitor inventory, label and present products. • Observe the primary convictions that characterize the company's mission. • Demonstrate and validate compliance with company safety protocols. • Handle telephone conversations by conforming to the company's approved strategies. • Pitch in and help out in other areas of the store as requested. • Thrive in a fast-acting setup with attention to detail. Minimum Eligibility Requirements: • To be considered, one must have attained the age of 18 years or older. • Competency in basic math is a fundamental prerequisite for success in higher level math courses. • Familiarity with customer service responsibilities. • Possessing the versatility to manage several tasks simultaneously and excel when the going gets tough. • Forklift certification via F&D could be a necessary criterion for specific job roles. • State laws allow for a drug test to be taken and passed before obtaining certification for heavy equipment operation. Physical/Sensory Requirements: • Physical strength is required to exert force ranging from 30 to 60 pounds occasionally or 20 to 30 pounds frequently in order to transport or manipulate objects. • Routine activities involve the frequent use of hands and fingers to handle various objects. • Consistent engagement in work tasks that involve using hands and arms to reach, stand, walk, balance, or climb.
