You'll need to take initiative, make decisive commitments, and deliver consistent results with a positive and tenacious attitude. • Key Responsibilities:** •

Revenue Recognition:

Oversee revenue recognition procedures and accounts receivable. Collaborate with the FP&A/Revenue Cycle Management team to drive efficiencies and establish best practices. •

Process Improvement:

Design and implement processes and controls to ensure completeness, accuracy, and existence of revenue recognition, including balance sheet reconciliations. •

Month-End Close:

Prepare and review critical month-end files with FP&A and RCM to ensure accurate revenue recognition. •

Policy Update:

Assist in updating revenue recognition policies and memos in accordance with US GAAP and ongoing technical accounting research. •

General Ledger Maintenance:

Oversee the general ledger, ensuring accurate financial transaction recording and appropriate coding. •

Reconciliations and Journal Entries:

Prepare and review accounting reconciliations, approve related journal entries. •

Communication:

Effectively communicate changes in contractual adjustments and required bad debt reserves with RCM, FP&A, and joint venture health system accounting teams. •

Financial Close Management:

Ensure timely and accurate financial close on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Improve close and reporting cycles. •

Transaction Identification:

Identify recurring and non-recurring transactions for management reporting. •

Internal Controls:

Develop and enforce effective internal controls in compliance with GAAP and regulatory laws. •

Annual Financial Objectives:

Support the establishment of annual financial objectives aligning with the company's operational, growth, and profitability plans. •

Project Management:

Manage additional projects as needed, such as system implementations or upgrades. Qualifications • Healthcare Revenue Experience:** Strong understanding and experience in healthcare revenue preferred. • ERP Systems:** Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems. • GAAP Knowledge:** Thorough understanding of GAAP, internal controls, operational risk assessment, and financial reporting. • Analytical Skills:** Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; anticipate issues and provide sound guidance for resolution. • Excel Proficiency:** Advanced proficiency in Excel preferred. • Communication Skills:** Strong written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills. • Project Management:** Proven ability to manage projects, allocate resources, and collaborate across disciplines and locations. Excellent organizational skills. • Work Ethic:** Self-motivated, independent, detail-oriented, with high integrity and ethical standards. • Team Management:** Experience in managing a team. Education • Bachelor’s degree in accounting required. • CPA certification preferred but not required. Experience • 4+ years of progressively responsible accounting experience required. • Public accounting experience with national accounting firms through the manager level preferred.
