[Remote] Legal Assistant

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. KlaymanToskes, PLLC is a leading national securities law firm focused exclusively on securities arbitration and litigation. The Legal Assistant will support attorneys by preparing and organizing legal documents, managing case files, and communicating with clients and other parties involved in securities matters.

Responsibilities

  • Support attorneys by preparing, formatting, and organizing legal documents, pleadings, exhibits, and correspondence related to securities arbitration and litigation matters
  • Managing case files
  • Maintaining calendars and deadlines
  • Coordinating filings
  • Assisting with discovery and client documentation
  • Communicating with clients, experts, and opposing counsel to schedule meetings, collect information, and provide status updates as directed by attorneys
  • Performing general administrative tasks such as data entry, document management, and follow-up on case-related tasks to help ensure efficient case progression

Skills

  • Solid understanding of Law and exposure to securities arbitration or litigation processes, or a strong interest in learning this area
  • Proficiency in Legal Document Preparation, including drafting, formatting, proofreading, and organizing legal pleadings and correspondence
  • Strong Communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, attorneys, and third parties in writing and by phone
  • Experience with Administrative Assistance, including scheduling, file management, data entry, and managing deadlines in a legal or professional services setting
  • Prior experience as a Legal Assistant or in a similar legal support role, or completion of relevant paralegal or legal studies coursework
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple matters in a remote environment
  • Comfort with legal practice management software, document management tools, and standard office applications (e.g., Microsoft Office or Google Workspace)
  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience; paralegal certificate is a plus
