Position Overview

This is a full‑time, work‑from‑home opportunity that offers a supportive environment, robust training, and clear pathways for career advancement within the healthcare technology sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather, compile, and organize medical billing information from a variety of sources, preparing it for entry into arenaflex’s proprietary billing platform.
  • Perform thorough verification of data to identify and correct duplicate, incomplete, or inconsistent records before they are processed.
  • Maintain the highest standards of data integrity by adhering to arenaflex’s established best practices, compliance guidelines, and security protocols.
  • Accurately input patient, provider, and claim details—including diagnosis codes, procedure codes, dates of service, and payment information—into the system.
  • Conduct targeted research to locate missing or ambiguous information, collaborating with internal teams or external sources as needed.
  • Validate membership details such as enrollment dates, coverage levels, and eligibility status to ensure claims are routed correctly.
  • Monitor and update records continuously to keep the database error‑free and up‑to‑date.
  • Follow documented workflows, contribute ideas for process improvements, and assist in the development of new standard operating procedures.
  • Diagnose data‑related issues, document findings, and promptly escalate complex problems to team leads or supervisors.
  • Consistently meet or exceed daily productivity targets while maintaining a high level of quality and compliance.

Essential Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; additional coursework in health information management, medical terminology, or related fields is a plus.
  • Experience: Prior experience in data entry, medical billing, or a similar administrative role is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using a personal computer, navigating multiple software applications, and learning new platforms quickly.
  • Attention to Detail: Demonstrated ability to spot errors, inconsistencies, and omissions in large data sets.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and keep workspaces (digital and physical) well‑organized.
  • Communication: Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills; ability to convey findings and ask clarifying questions when needed.
  • Reliability: Commitment to a consistent work schedule, including the willingness to attend an initial onsite onboarding and training period of up to four weeks.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Familiarity with medical billing terminology (e.g., CPT, ICD‑10, HCPCS) and insurance claim cycles.
  • Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems or practice management software.
  • Basic knowledge of HIPAA regulations and data privacy best practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, for data manipulation and reporting.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while staying engaged with the broader arenaflex team.
  • Strong problem‑solving mindset, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing workflow bottlenecks.

Core Competencies for Success

  • Accuracy & Precision: A relentless focus on entering data correctly the first time, reducing rework and improving claim turnaround.
  • Speed & Efficiency: Ability to maintain a rapid typing pace without sacrificing quality, meeting daily volume goals.
  • Integrity & Confidentiality: Commitment to safeguarding patient and provider information in accordance with industry standards.
  • Collaboration: Willingness to share insights, support teammates, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Adaptability: Comfort with evolving processes, new software updates, and shifting priorities in a dynamic healthcare environment.
