Why This Role Matters

As a Customer Success Engineer on the arenaflex Redshift Service team, you will be the technical bridge between our world‑class engineering organization and the most strategic customers in the world. You will help them unlock the full value of their data, accelerate time‑to‑insight, and ensure that every interaction with arenaflex is a catalyst for business growth. Your expertise will shape product roadmaps, influence feature prioritization, and directly impact the success of multi‑billion‑dollar deals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Advocacy & Issue Resolution: Partner with large‑scale customers to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex performance, reliability, and configuration challenges within the arenaflex Redshift Service.
  • Pre‑Sales Enablement: Collaborate with sales and solutions architects to design proof‑of‑concepts, conduct deep‑dive technical workshops, and ensure smooth onboarding of new enterprise customers.
  • Automation & Process Improvement: Identify repetitive operational tasks and develop scripts, tooling, or self‑service portals that reduce manual effort and improve consistency across the customer base.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product management, engineering, support, and business operations to convey customer feedback, influence product direction, and align on service‑level expectations.
  • Roadmap Communication: Translate arenaflex’s product roadmap into clear, actionable information for customers, setting realistic expectations and highlighting upcoming enhancements that address their business needs.
  • Architecture Deep‑Dive: Become intimately familiar with the internal architecture of the arenaflex Redshift Service, including storage engines, query optimizers, networking layers, and security controls, to provide expert guidance.
  • Feature Prioritization Support: Gather and synthesize customer use‑case data to help product teams prioritize new features, performance improvements, and integrations.
  • Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Contribute to internal knowledge bases, best‑practice guides, and customer‑facing documentation that empower both customers and internal teams.

Essential Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in a technical customer‑facing role, such as Technical Account Management, Solutions Engineering, or Customer Success Engineering, preferably within the cloud data‑warehouse or analytics domain.
  • Strong background in relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle) and data‑warehouse concepts, including schema design, indexing, and query optimization.
  • Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and familiarity with networking, security, and IAM concepts.
  • Proficiency in scripting or programming languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation and troubleshooting.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences with clarity and confidence.
  • Track record of managing multiple high‑stakes customer engagements simultaneously while maintaining meticulous organization and prioritization.
  • Excellent written communication skills, including the ability to produce clear, concise documentation and executive‑level summaries.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with arenaflex Redshift Service or similar massively parallel processing (MPP) data warehouses.
  • Background in performance tuning, capacity planning, and cost optimization for large‑scale data workloads.
  • Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer, or Microsoft Azure Solutions Expert.
  • Prior involvement in pre‑sales activities, including RFP responses, technical demos, and proof‑of‑concept delivery.
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools (Terraform, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines for data‑centric workloads.
