Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to negotiate the best deals and foster strong partnerships. Conduct market research and stay updated on industry trends to identify new sourcing opportunities and potential cost savings. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their sourcing needs and provide recommendations for suppliers that meet their requirements. Create and manage sourcing strategies to optimize costs, improve supplier performance, and mitigate risks. Monitor supplier performance and take necessary actions to resolve any issues or concerns. Analyze and report on key metrics, such as cost savings, supplier performance, and market trends, to track progress and make data-driven decisions. Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations related to sourcing and ensure compliance. Continuously seek opportunities to improve sourcing processes, reduce costs, and increase efficiency. Act as a mentor and resource for junior sourcing team members, providing guidance and support. Communicate effectively with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods and services.
