[Remote] Cerner Clinical Consultant (PCM & Bridge focus)

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Dice is seeking a Cerner Clinical Consultant focused on PCM and Bridge to enhance patient safety and nursing workflows. The role involves optimizing clinical documentation and medication tracking systems, ensuring effective integration and collaboration with hospital IT teams.

Responsibilities

  • You’ll be the lead for Cerner Bridge Medical, ensuring that barcode medication administration (BCMA), specimen collection are rock solid
  • You will refine Clinical Patient Care Management (PCM) workflows—everything from iView and PowerForms to dynamic documentation and clinical task lists
  • When the frontline staff hits a wall with the system, you’re the one who dives into Bedrock or DCPTools to find the fix
  • Ensuring that the 'Positive Patient Identification' (PPID) workflows actually prevent errors without creating 'alert fatigue' for the clinical team
  • Working closely with hospital IT teams and clinical leadership to validate builds and lead remote testing sessions

Skills

  • Years of experience with the build tools (Bedrock, CoreEventManager, etc.)
  • Specialized knowledge in Bridge and PCM modules in at least 2–3 full-lifecycle implementations or major optimizations
  • Clinical background (RN or Informatics) or sufficient experience in hospitals to understand acute care workflows
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both software engineers and Chief Nursing Officers
