Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cybersecurity Analyst to join our dynamic and fully remote team. As a key member of our security operations, you will be instrumental in safeguarding our clients' digital assets and infrastructure from an ever-evolving threat landscape. You will be responsible for monitoring, detecting, analyzing, and responding to cybersecurity incidents, ensuring the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of information systems. You will play a crucial role in implementing security measures, conducting vulnerability assessments, and contributing to the development of our security policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems for anomalies, incidents, and potential breaches, responding swiftly to mitigate threats.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of security events, logs, and alerts to identify root causes and patterns of attack.
• Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in systems and applications, recommending and implementing remediation strategies.
• Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and best practices in alignment with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in incident response activities, including containment, eradication, recovery, and post-incident analysis.
• Provide expert advice and guidance on cybersecurity best practices to internal teams and clients.
• Stay current with the latest cybersecurity threats, technologies, and trends to enhance our defensive capabilities. Required Skills
• 3+ years of experience in a cybersecurity role (SOC Analyst, Security Engineer, etc.)
• Proficiency with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, Sentinel) for log analysis and incident detection.
• Solid understanding of network protocols, operating systems (Windows, Linux), and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with vulnerability management tools and methodologies (e.g., Qualys, Nessus, Burp Suite).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of explaining complex security issues clearly.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a remote, distributed team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• Relevant industry certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, CySA+, GSEC, or CISSP.
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation and data analysis.
