About arenaflex – Pioneering Intelligent Health Operations

arenaflex is a leading innovator in the health‑care technology space, delivering cutting‑edge AI‑powered platforms that empower organizations to anticipate, prevent, and resolve IT incidents before they impact patients and providers. Our mission is to fuse artificial intelligence with deep domain expertise to create resilient, high‑performing digital ecosystems that support the delivery of safe, efficient, and compassionate health services. As a remote‑first, part‑time employer, arenaflex offers flexible work arrangements, a collaborative culture, and the opportunity to work on mission‑critical projects that shape the future of health‑care operations.

Why This Role Matters

In today’s fast‑moving health‑care environment, downtime or performance degradation can have serious consequences. arenaflex’s AI‑Ops platform is designed to continuously monitor, analyze, and remediate infrastructure anomalies across massive data centers, cloud environments, and on‑premise systems. As a Data Scientist on our team, you will be at the heart of this effort, building predictive models, designing intelligent pipelines, and translating complex data into actionable insights that keep the IT backbone of health services running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Model Development & Deployment: Design, train, and deploy machine‑learning and deep‑learning models that detect anomalies, predict failures, and recommend corrective actions across heterogeneous infrastructure stacks.
  • Data Engineering & Pipeline Optimization: Build robust data ingestion pipelines that aggregate logs, metrics, and telemetry from cloud providers (e.g., GCP, AWS) and on‑premise sources; ensure data quality, scalability, and real‑time processing capabilities.
  • Collaborative Solution Design: Partner with senior engineers, product managers, and domain experts to translate business requirements into technical specifications, ensuring AI solutions align with operational goals.
  • Research & Innovation: Stay abreast of emerging AI/ML techniques, evaluate their applicability to IT operations, and prototype novel approaches that enhance predictive accuracy and reduce false positives.
  • Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Produce clear documentation, code comments, and technical guides; mentor junior team members and contribute to internal knowledge bases.
  • Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement: Track model performance in production, conduct root‑cause analyses of mispredictions, and iterate on algorithms to improve reliability and efficiency.
  • Integration & Automation: Work closely with DevOps and SRE teams to embed AI models into existing automation workflows, enabling proactive remediation and self‑healing capabilities.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience applying AI/ML techniques to large‑scale data, including statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and feature engineering.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language commonly used for data science—Python, R, or SQL—and familiarity with libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit‑learn, or pandas.
  • Demonstrated experience in data extraction, transformation, and analysis, particularly with unstructured data sources and log analytics.
  • Strong communication skills—both written and verbal—with the ability to convey technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, and capable of thriving in a remote, part‑time environment while meeting project deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in a quantitative discipline such as Machine Learning, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, or related field.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms (Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services, Azure) and managing data at petabyte scale.
  • Track record of building production‑grade AI models that deliver measurable business impact, especially in the context of IT operations or health‑care technology.
  • Familiarity with time‑series analysis, anomaly detection algorithms, and reinforcement learning for automated decision‑making.
  • Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines to streamline model deployment and monitoring.
  • Ability to mentor peers, provide technical guidance, and contribute to a culture of continuous learning.

Core Competencies for Success

  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to dissect complex problems, identify patterns, and develop data‑driven solutions.
  • Collaboration: Strong team player who can build relationships across engineering, product, and business functions.
  • Creativity & Innovation: Comfortable experimenting with new algorithms and thinking outside the box to solve operational challenges.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to data quality, model validation, and documentation.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to pivot priorities in a fast‑changing environment while maintaining high standards of work.

Career Growth & Learning Opportunities

arenaflex invests heavily in the professional development of its talent. As a Data Scientist, you will have access to:

  • Mentorship from senior AI architects and industry veterans.
  • Sponsored certifications and training programs in advanced machine learning, cloud engineering, and data engineering.
  • Opportunities to present research findings at internal symposiums and external conferences.
  • A clear career ladder that can lead to senior data science, AI engineering, or product leadership roles within arenaflex.
  • Cross‑functional project exposure, allowing you to broaden expertise beyond AI into areas such as security, compliance, and health‑care operations.
