Position Overview – Remote Healthcare Customer Service Representative

As a Remote Healthcare Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you will be the voice and the listening ear for patients, providers, and insurance partners. You’ll leverage multiple communication channels—phone, email, chat, and social media—to resolve inquiries, de‑escalate challenging situations, and ensure a seamless experience for every caller. Key Responsibilities

Customer Interaction & Issue Resolution

  • Engage with customers via phone, email, live chat, and social media to address questions related to appointments, insurance coverage, billing, and medication guidance.
  • Maintain a calm, empathetic demeanor while de‑escalating frustrated callers and turning challenging moments into positive experiences.
  • Accurately document each interaction in the CRM system, ensuring compliance with auditing and reporting standards.
  • Escalate complex cases to senior specialists or appropriate departments when necessary, following arenaflex’s escalation protocols.
  • Identify opportunities to upsell additional services or support programs, aligning recommendations with the caller’s needs.

Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement

  • Provide constructive feedback on recurring call trends, suggesting process enhancements to improve efficiency and satisfaction.
  • Participate in regular coaching sessions, performance reviews, and skill‑building workshops.
  • Stay current on healthcare regulations, privacy standards (HIPAA), and arenaflex’s service offerings.

Administrative & Technical Duties

  • Track and log call metrics, including duration, resolution status, and customer sentiment, for performance analysis.
  • Process payment authorizations and verify insurance eligibility when required.
  • Utilize Windows‑based desktop applications, CRM platforms, and knowledge bases to retrieve information quickly.

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • High school diploma or GED; additional education in health administration or related fields is a plus.
  • At least six months of customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare or insurance environment.
  • Proficient typing speed of 25 words per minute or higher.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
  • Logical problem‑solving abilities and a methodical approach to troubleshooting.
  • Comfortable navigating Windows operating systems and standard office software.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and the capacity to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast‑paced setting.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience with healthcare terminology, medical billing, or patient advocacy.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and data privacy best practices.
  • Previous remote work experience, showing self‑discipline and effective time management.
