Position Overview

arenaflex is hiring full-time Remote Customer Experience Specialists to support one of the world's largest and most respected eye-wear companies. This is an excellent opportunity for motivated professionals living within a two-hour commute of Port Washington, NY, who are ready to work from the comfort of their home while making a meaningful impact on customer satisfaction and brand loyalty. Key Responsibilities of the Remote Customer Experience Specialist

As a vital member of the arenaflex customer service team, you will serve as the primary point of contact for both new and existing business clients, handling a wide range of inquiries, requests, and concerns with professionalism, empathy, and efficiency. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Customer Call Management: Answer a high volume of incoming calls — up to 80 calls per day — providing timely, accurate, and courteous support to every caller. You will spend approximately 90% of your assigned shift handling inbound phone calls.
  • Order Processing: Process customer orders accurately and efficiently, leveraging your knowledge of company products, services, and systems to ensure a seamless purchasing experience.
  • Issue Resolution and Troubleshooting: Resolve customer complaints, troubleshoot problems, and identify the best path for resolution. You will own each inquiry from start to finish, following up as needed to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
  • Documentation and Tracking: Correctly document all customer interactions in the company system and accurately track call types to support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Service Level Maintenance: Maintain support service levels and uphold arenaflex's customer service standards, consistently meeting or exceeding performance expectations.
  • Proactive Follow-Up: Take ownership of customer follow-ups related to order status, shipping updates, stock availability, and any other open inquiries until full resolution is achieved.
  • Additional Duties: Perform all other duties as assigned, contributing to a collaborative team environment and supporting overall business objectives.

Essential Qualifications and Requirements

To thrive in this role at arenaflex, candidates must meet the following baseline qualifications:

  • Residency Requirement: Must currently reside within a two-hour commute of Port Washington, NY. This is a strict requirement due to the need to pick up equipment from the Port Washington office.
  • Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • Call Center Experience: Minimum of one year of experience in a high-volume call center environment, with demonstrated ability to handle 80 or more calls per day.
  • Technical Setup: Must be able to connect via hardwired ethernet connection — hotspots and Wi-Fi are not permitted. All necessary equipment will be provided by arenaflex; however, candidates must pick up their equipment in person at the Port Washington office (no exceptions).
  • Communication Skills: Excellent telephone etiquette, including the ability to communicate with confidence in a clear, professional speaking voice. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Listening and Comprehension: Demonstrated active listening skills and the ability to comprehend complex customer needs.
  • Interpersonal Skills: A clear team player with strong interpersonal abilities and a collaborative mindset.
  • Composure Under Pressure: Ability to maintain composure and professionalism when dealing with difficult or escalated customer situations.
  • Time Management: Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong PC skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel). Comfort navigating multiple information systems and the internet is essential.
  • Language Skills: Strong English comprehension and a good command of grammar are required. Bilingual French-speaking candidates are especially encouraged to apply and will be eligible for the enhanced pay rate of $20.00 per hour.

  • Medical-related background, including experience in medical billing, claims processing, or working in a medical office setting
  • Insurance industry experience, particularly in customer-facing roles
