You will design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines that ingest, cleanse, and enrich massive volumes of survey data from multiple sources. Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Business Stakeholders: Work closely with product managers, data scientists, and business analysts to translate functional requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Design End‑to‑End Data Pipelines: Architect and implement data ingestion workflows that pull survey responses from arenaflex’s proprietary survey platform and external sources, ensuring high‑throughput and low‑latency processing.

• Leverage Big Data Technologies: Utilize Hadoop, HDFS, Hive, Spark, PySpark, and Python to build scalable processing jobs that handle terabytes of data daily.
• Implement Real‑Time Analytics: Build streaming solutions using Spark Structured Streaming and Kafka (or equivalent) to deliver near‑real‑time dashboards for senior leadership.
• Automate Testing & Deployment: Develop CI/CD pipelines, automated unit/integration tests, and monitoring alerts to ensure data quality and system reliability.
• Optimize Performance: Conduct performance tuning, query optimization, and resource management to maximize efficiency and reduce operational costs.
• Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Produce clear technical documentation, data dictionaries, and runbooks; mentor junior engineers and contribute to community of practice sessions.

Essential Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of hands‑on experience with Hadoop ecosystem tools (Hive, HDFS) and Spark (including PySpark).
• Proficiency in Python scripting and Shell scripting for data manipulation and automation.
• Demonstrated experience designing and maintaining large‑scale data pipelines in a cloud or on‑premise environment.
• Strong understanding of relational and NoSQL databases, data modeling, and ETL best practices.
• Experience working in Agile Scrum environments, delivering incremental value in two‑week sprints.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills, with a track record of troubleshooting complex data issues.
• Effective communication skills in English (both written and verbal); Spanish fluency is a plus.
