As a Remote Senior Bookkeeping Analyst at arenaflex, you will be at the heart of our finance transformation journey. You’ll partner with cross‑functional teams—including Product, Engineering, Finance, Legal, and Operations—to design, implement, and refine data‑driven bookkeeping processes that support accurate revenue recognition, compliance with US GAAP, and scalable financial reporting. Key Responsibilities

• Cross‑Team Collaboration: Work closely with Specialized Bookkeeping, Functional Bookkeeping, Product, Engineering, Finance, Legal, and other teams to define and execute bookkeeping initiatives that drive efficiency and accuracy.
• Data Requirements Design: Create and maintain comprehensive bookkeeping data specifications to support the automation of journal entries, ensuring data integrity, completeness, and performance across revenue processes.
• Process Improvement: Lead functional improvement projects aimed at streamlining revenue tasks and shortening the revenue close cycle, delivering measurable time‑savings.
• Data Quality Assurance: Design and implement data quality checks for journal entries generated by the Revenue Subledger, covering a variety of use cases such as bookkeeping requirements design, custom analyses, and new product launches.
• Product & Engineering Partnership: Partner with Product and Engineering teams to continuously enhance the daily Revenue Reconciliation process and oversee reconciliation investigations with the analytics team.
• Requirement Gathering: Conduct workshops and assess the impact of existing or new bookkeeping requirements for the Revenue Subledger, translating business needs into technical specifications.
• Automation & Integration: Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to automate journal entry flows for new or existing products via the Revenue Subledger, reducing manual effort and error rates.
• Monthly Close Activities: Execute month‑end revenue bookkeeping close tasks, including GAAP revenue analysis, cost of revenue investigation, debt claim reconciliations, journal entry reviews, and audit deliverable preparation.
• Special Projects: Participate in ad‑hoc analyses and initiatives as assigned, contributing to broader finance and data‑science objectives.

Essential Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in revenue bookkeeping, data analysis, and business intelligence.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, particularly ASC 606 Revenue Recognition; familiarity with IFRS is a plus.
• Advanced SQL skills with the ability to query and manipulate large, complex data sets.
• Proficiency in Python (or a comparable scripting language) for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
• Excellent logical and critical‑thinking abilities, with a demonstrated capacity to adapt to evolving priorities.
