Trainer, Coach, Facilitator (Early Childhood Behavior)

Training & Coaching Early Childhood Educators and Leaders - with a focus on Managing Challenging Behaviors and Mental & Behavioral Health About FirstDay Learning - www.FirstDayLearning.com Happy classrooms start with happy teachers. Challenging behavior is one of the biggest stressors early childhood educators face. We deliver science-based professional development courses and workshops that helps early childhood teams prevent and respond to challenging behavior with strategies that are practical, respectful, and actionable in real classrooms. We believe educators and leaders need skills and strategies they can use the following day. We are hiring remote-and-travel trainers, coaches & facilitators who can deliver strong practical learning experiences and get in the trenches with educators when things are difficult. You’ll deliver trainings, workshops, small-group coaching, and behavioral consulting for and to early childhood teachers, support staff, and administrators serving children ages 0–7. Are you this person? Are you experienced dealing with challenging behaviors? Can you "own" a classroom and earn the respect of early childhood educators? Do you have the skills and knowledge to create happy and confident teachers by sharing implementable solutions to the hardest behavioral situations - including supporting complex learners and children with Autism? Do you enjoy helping educators solve complex challenges with young children in real time? What you’ll do:

• Lead engaging virtual and on-site trainings and workshops.
• Facilitate hands-on learning that delivers tools educators can use immediately.
• Coach small groups and consult with programs on challenging behaviors and classroom systems.
• Help educators turn behavior principles into realistic strategies that work in busy classrooms.
• Communicate proactively with the FirstDay team to understand client challenges and deliver exactly what they need.

What we’re looking for: Required

• Strong behavior expertise: ABA background and/or Mental Health Certification/experience and/or deep experience supporting behavior change in early childhood (0–7).
• Credibility with both educators & administrators: you can build trust quickly and coach without judgment across groups.
• Excellent facilitation skills (virtual + in-person) and comfortable leading adult learning.
• Reliable follow-through: organized, responsive, and consistent with deadlines and documentation.
• Strong judgment and professionalism in client-facing work, including confidentiality and an insistence on excellence.
• Located near a major airport

Preferred

• Formal ABA training/certification or significant behavior consulting experience.
• Experience coaching educators
• Experience in high-need settings
• Bilingual facilitation (English/Spanish) is a plus.
• Ideally located in the Chicago area, Denver area, the Midwest, and the Pacific Northwest

Pay: $25.00 - $75.00 per hour Application Question(s):
