Role Overview

The Senior Data Entry & Voice of Customer Analyst will play a pivotal role in shaping arenaflex’s Voice of the Customer (VoC) strategy. Working remotely from Costa Rica, you will partner with product owners, data engineers, and agile delivery teams to design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines that capture, cleanse, and analyze customer survey data from more than 5 million annual responses. Your work will directly influence product roadmaps, service enhancements, and strategic decisions that improve the overall customer journey.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to gather, translate, and prioritize VoC requirements into technical specifications.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data models and pipelines on the Cornerstone data platform, ensuring high‑quality ingestion of survey data from Qualtrics and other sources.
• Implement batch and real‑time analytics solutions using Hadoop, HDFS, MapReduce, Hive, Spark, and Python to deliver timely insights.
• Construct and enforce standardized metric definitions, data validation rules, and automated testing frameworks to guarantee data accuracy.
• Provide actionable recommendations to product and operations teams based on deep analysis of customer sentiment, trends, and root‑cause findings.
• Lead the creation of dashboards and visualizations that empower non‑technical users to explore VoC data independently.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying automation opportunities, optimizing ETL processes, and reducing manual effort.
• Mentor junior analysts and data engineers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and technical excellence.
• Participate actively in agile ceremonies—sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, retrospectives—to ensure timely delivery of high‑impact features.
• Stay current with emerging data technologies and best practices, recommending enhancements that keep arenaflex at the forefront of analytics innovation.

Essential Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience with Hive/Hadoop ecosystems, PySpark, Python, and shell scripting.
• Proven track record designing and implementing large‑scale data pipelines and data models in a production environment.
• Strong understanding of agile delivery methodologies and experience working in cross‑functional, fast‑paced teams.
• Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions, with a focus on data quality and reliability.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills, with a data‑first mindset and the ability to troubleshoot complex ETL and analytics issues.
• Effective communication skills—both written and verbal—to convey technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
• Fluency in English; proficiency in Spanish is a plus given the remote location in Costa Rica.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field.
