Work from home Full-time role Hiring
Job Description (HTML):

Join Arenaflex: Shape the Future of Customer Experience

Are you ready to launch your career with one of the most innovative organizations in the retail and healthcare space? At Arenaflex, we're transforming how businesses connect with communities, and we want YOU to be part of that transformation. Our Community Management Internship program offers unparalleled hands-on experience, professional development, and the opportunity to make a real impact in a fast-paced, rewarding environment.

Since our founding in 1901, our legacy organization has grown from a single corner store to a nationwide leader in retail and community healthcare services. Now, as part of the arenaflex network, we're reimagining what's possible for the next generation of business leaders. This internship isn't just about filing paperwork or making coffee runs—we're investing in YOUR future by giving you real responsibilities, real accountabilities, and real skills that will launch your career.

About the Role: Community Management Intern

As a Community Management Intern at arenaflex, you'll serve as the face and voice of our organization within local communities. This is a dynamic, hybrid role that combines customer service excellence, operational leadership, and community engagement. You'll work directly with store leadership, cross-functional teams, and—most importantly—with the customers and patients who trust us every single day.

This internship is designed for undergraduate students who are passionate about building relationships, solving problems, and creating memorable experiences. You'll gain exposure to every aspect of retail operations, from front-line customer interactions to back-end inventory management, from financial operations to community outreach initiatives.

What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities):

  • Deliver Exceptional Customer Experiences: Greet customers and patients with warmth and enthusiasm. Offer genuine assistance with products, services, and questions. Resolve concerns and provide answers to ensure every interaction leaves a positive impression.
  • Model Service Excellence: Demonstrate and teach best practices for customer support to all team members. This includes interpersonal habits like maintaining eye contact, offering sincere greetings, and embodying arenaflex's service characteristics—such as proactively offering help, identifying needs, and following through until complete satisfaction.
  • Master Retail Operations: Process item returns, order voids, customer discounts, cash drops to the secure safe, and provide change as needed at sales registers. Become proficient in using company systems and store equipment.
  • Learn Store Systems: Develop working knowledge of all store systems, including point-of-sale terminals, inventory management tools, and customer relationship platforms.
  • Inventory Management: Analyze stock patterns and manage inventory operations, including ordering items, maintaining stock levels, and transferring stock between locations. Use company resources strategically to prevent stockouts and overstocks.
  • Display & Merchandising Support: Assist supervisors in developing and implementing product displays, including promotional, seasonal, and special event merchandising. Complete resets and modifications as needed.
  • Pricing & Signage: Take responsibility for basic division pricing and daily price changes. Ensure proper signage is displayed to support accurate item pricing. Complete any pricing assignments related to local guidelines and regulatory compliance programs accurately and within required timeframes.
  • Store Maintenance: Assist with inside and outside upkeep by ensuring clean, organized, and professional store conditions. Report facility or system repairs as needed.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated items (e.g., alcohol and tobacco products). Maintain awareness of all safety protocols and procedures.
  • Financial Awareness: Gain exposure to the analysis of financial and operational performance data for stores and regions. Learn about loss prevention strategies and asset security measures.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collectively to complete team projects and present findings to leadership. Build relationships across departments and learn from diverse team members.
  • Communication & Reporting: Report customer feedback and concerns to management. Assist leadership in planning and attending community events.
  • Training & Development: Attend all required training sessions and complete E-learning modules as assigned. Shadow region leaders to gain broader perspective on operations.
  • Special Projects: Complete special projects and other duties as assigned. Embrace opportunities to learn beyond your core responsibilities.
  • Program Completion: Complete a comprehensive assessment of the internship program upon conclusion, providing valuable feedback for continuous improvement.

What We're Looking For (Qualifications):

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with diverse audiences
  • Basic computer proficiency and comfort with learning new technology systems

  • Active involvement in community organizations or volunteer work
  • Leadership experience in student organizations or campus activities

Skills & Competencies Required for Success:

  • Communication Skills: Ability to interact professionally with customers, team members, and leadership. Clear, confident verbal communication and strong written communication skills.
