Project Assistant

The Project Assistant supports the Real Estate practice group by performing routine billable and non-billable work under the supervision of legal staff, managing documents, and maintaining client confidentiality.
Responsibilities
- Prepare routine correspondence, documents, and drafts; edit and revise materials as needed, demonstrating strong proofreading skills
- Manage deal documents and related calendars to support transaction timelines and deadlines
- Organize and oversee the maintenance of electronic files using the firm’s document management system
- Assist with administrative projects under the direction of attorneys, paralegals, and other experienced legal staff
- Exercise initiative and sound judgment in completing routine assignments with minimal supervision
- Consistently maintain a high level of professionalism in all internal and external interactions
- Track and record client billable time in accordance with firm requirements and meet minimum billable hour expectations
- Prioritize and manage daily workload effectively and promptly communicate when unable to meet assigned responsibilities
- Maintain the confidentiality of firm and client information and comply with firm policies and procedures

- Ability to work overtime as needed to meet attorney and client deadlines
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Word
- Bachelor's degree or a combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the essential duties of the position
- Minimum one (1) year of experience working in a professional setting
