Connor, Clark & Lunn Financial Group (CC&L) is one of Canada’s top performing asset managers, seeking an Analyst or Senior Analyst for their Performance and Attribution Solutions Team. The role involves delivering post-trade analytics, supporting sales and marketing requests, and enhancing investment processes through value-add analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Investment performance calculations, attribution analysis, analytics and portfolio risk reporting across public / private asset classes
  • Support sales and marketing requests and provide data for RFPs and DDQs
  • Research, propose, and maintain performance measurement and attribution methodologies for existing and new products
  • Develop and manage relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide analytical problem solving and troubleshooting
  • Identify process improvements and leverage best practices across the team
  • Understand new products and ensure proper reporting is in place

Skills

  • Undergraduate degree in business, mathematics or a related field
  • Enrolled (or considering enrollment) in the CFA or CIPM program
  • 1 to 5+ years' experience in the investment management industry or comparable
  • Excellent Communicator, both verbal and written
  • Ability to express ideas, explain analytics/methodologies and lead solution-oriented discussions with a wide range of audiences
  • Collaborative spirit that helps you to work well with others and communicate effectively
  • Passion for advancing the quality, scale and efficiency of data processes
  • Ability to take ownership of multiple processes with keen attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
  • Possess an analytical mindset and can detect patterns to solve problems
  • Ability to pick up new Systems and tools quickly
  • Advanced computer skills with an emphasis on MS Excel, Power Bi
  • Desire to learn basic database query languages
  • Direct experience with Investment analytics or performance measurement would be considered an asset
