Position Overview

The Claims Analyst – Waste & Abuse Ideation will join the Investigation and Conduct Change team, supporting arenaflex’s Waste and Abuse program. This role is responsible for a blend of regulatory compliance, project management, and data‑driven analysis. You will manage clinical record inventories, monitor inbox queues, and maintain project documentation while collaborating with internal stakeholders and external partners to identify, investigate, and resolve potential fraud, waste, and abuse incidents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain daily oversight of clinical record inventories to ensure compliance with program objectives.
  • Monitor and triage inbox queues, assigning cases to appropriate analysts and tracking resolution timelines.
  • Update and refine project documentation, including SOPs, workflow diagrams, and audit logs, based on evolving regulatory requirements.
  • Identify program‑specific issues, develop actionable recommendations, and drive resolution through cross‑functional collaboration.
  • Partner with the Program Manager, Business Analyst, and other team members to meet functional and financial targets.
  • Analyze data trends to pinpoint high‑risk areas, generate insights, and support strategic decision‑making.
  • Communicate findings clearly to both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment with arenaflex’s mission and compliance standards.
  • Lead the creation of concise, data‑rich reports that translate complex analytics into understandable business recommendations.
  • Support the development and execution of training initiatives for junior analysts and other program participants.
  • Continuously seek process improvements, leveraging technology and best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Health Administration, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3–5 years of experience in healthcare claims processing, insurance administration, or related claim‑handling environments.
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands‑on experience with claims processing systems such as ACAS, QNXT, or HRP (HRP highly preferred).
  • Proficiency in QuickBase or comparable low‑code application platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, capable of presenting complex data to diverse audiences.
  • Solid knowledge of data‑analysis tools, including Microsoft Excel, Access, and database query utilities.

Preferred Qualifications & Additional Skills

  • Experience collaborating with cross‑functional teams at multiple organizational levels.
  • Familiarity with arenaflex’s policies and procedures (or similar large‑scale health‑care organizations).
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and intranet/web research tools.
  • Ability to translate technical findings into clear, actionable business language.
  • Experience with project‑management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall) is a plus.

Compensation, Benefits & Perks

arenaflex offers a competitive salary range of $70,000 – $80,000 per year, commensurate with experience, education, and location. In addition to base compensation, eligible employees may participate in performance‑based bonuses, profit‑sharing, and other incentive programs.
