About the Role

The Regional Vice President, Business Development is focused on growing Sound Physicians through new contracts in the region. The Vice President will participate in the leadership team by leading organic growth efforts. This person will also be responsible for identifying improvement opportunities to reach our growth targets more efficiently and effectively, including the The RVP Business Development maintains collaborative working relationships with Sound Physicians' Executive Team and with the Group/Regional Vice Presidents of Operations with whom he/she shares growth responsibilities for their respective regions. The Details: This role will require a willingness to travel up to 80% of the time. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Managing the sales processes and annual performance targets for Sound Physicians in the region, including conducting all Business Development Committee Meetings, Acquisition Meetings, Regional Business Development reviews Building strong relationships and communication channels with 1) potential hospital clients, with particular emphasis on developing positive relationships with hospital senior executives and 2) national and regional healthcare consultants Supporting the efforts of the Regional Teams (CMO and RVP) in the development of sales opportunities Collaborating on refining Sound Physicians' messaging and delivering a differentiated story to potential clients Developing a regional strategy, leading the response to all inquiries, RFPs and bids, and personally managing specific opportunities Developing lead generation tactics (e.g. meetings, telemarketing, networking), and assessing all sales practices, and investments in staff and sales activities Collaborating with the Business Development team on the appropriate messaging and differentiating Sound Physicians' story Values Customer-focused: Puts the customer's (internal and external) needs first and makes customers their top priority Strategic Thinker: Demonstrates the ability to look at the big picture and proactively develop a plan of action Relationship Building and Maintenance: The ability to create and nourish healthy, strong relationships, as the face of Sound Teamwork: Demonstrates the ability to pull people together into highly effective teams along with ability to work in a highly matrixed organization Critical Thinking: Demonstrates the ability to be proactive, anticipate needs; ability to make good decisions with incomplete, ambiguous information Resourceful: Proactive willingness to utilize available information and tools to figure things out Collaborative: Demonstrates the ability to work well with others to accomplish a goal and get the work done; takes opinions of others into consideration; includes others in the decision-making process Bias toward action: Has a focus on progress rather than perfection. Exact salary will depend on the candidate’s experience, education and geographic location. Additionally, this position is eligible for a performance-based incentive plan.
