Job Description: At Job Duck, we are looking for a motivated Legal Assistant to support attorneys and paralegals by handling essential administrative tasks that enhance the efficiency and productivity of the legal team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a structured environment, enjoys managing details, and takes pride in ensuring accuracy and timeliness. You will be responsible for drafting documents, managing calendars, communicating with clients, and maintaining case records. Candidates who are resourceful, professional, and adaptable will excel in this position, as your contributions will directly impact the smooth operation of legal processes and client satisfaction.

  • Monthly compensation: 1150 USD to 1220 USD

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Handle electronic filing with the court and email correspondence with court staff
  • Draft legal forms, documents, and correspondence for attorney review
  • Communicate with clients via email, phone, or in person to obtain documents or relay information
  • Schedule case events and enter reminder tasks into Clio
  • Enter deadlines into the firm’s master calendar and resolve scheduling conflicts
  • Proofread all prepared work before submission to paralegals or attorneys
  • Update records in case management systems
  • Open and close client files in Clio Grow and Clio Manage, ensuring payment and proper procedures
  • Copy, scan, and file client records, maintaining both physical and electronic files
  • Coordinate legal server processes for filing physical documents

Requirements: •2-3 years of experience as a legal assistant •Family law background is highly appreciated •Experience with client communication •Proficiency with Clio Grow and Clio Manage case management systems •Familiarity with digital platforms such as Zoom, GoToMeeting, Adobe Acrobat, and Google Suite •Bachelor’s Degree, Associate’s Degree, or relevant professional certification preferred Required Skills •Interpersonal skills •Detail-oriented •Written communication •Follow-up and control •Resourceful •Initiative •Collaborative •Professional demeanor •Adaptability •Customer focus •Time management •Organizational skills •Scheduling expertise •Phone etiquette Work Shift: 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM [PST][PDT] (United States of America) Languages: English, Spanish Ready to dive in?
