Position Overview

arenaflex is seeking independent contractors with solid bookkeeping and accounting knowledge to provide top‑tier customer support for our accounting software suite. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for callers who need assistance navigating the platform, entering ledger data, troubleshooting technical issues, and understanding core accounting processes. Your expertise will help clients resolve problems quickly, maintain accurate financial records, and feel confident using our tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to inbound customer calls and tickets with a friendly, professional demeanor.
  • Guide users through QuickBooks Online or comparable accounting software functions, including chart of accounts setup, invoice creation, expense tracking, and bank reconciliation.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to software navigation, data entry errors, and integration glitches.
  • Document each interaction in our CRM system, ensuring accurate records of problem resolution and follow‑up actions.
  • Escalate complex cases to senior technical specialists while maintaining ownership of the customer’s experience.
  • Identify recurring pain points and provide feedback to product and training teams to improve the user experience.

Essential Qualifications

  • Proficiency with QuickBooks Online or a comparable cloud‑based accounting platform (e.g., Xero, FreshBooks, Sage Business Cloud).
  • Solid understanding of bookkeeping fundamentals, including accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP), journal entries, and bank reconciliation.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience delivering customer service over the phone, preferably in a virtual call‑center environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership of customer issues, troubleshoot effectively, and provide clear, confident resolutions.
  • Strong computer literacy; comfortable navigating multiple applications simultaneously and learning new software quickly.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with a courteous, patient, and solution‑focused tone.
  • Reliable high‑speed broadband (minimum 10 Mbps download) and a wired Ethernet connection.
  • Windows 10 or Windows 11 PC with up‑to‑date antivirus software and a USB headset with microphone.
  • U.S. residency (excluding California, New York, Pennsylvania, and Washington) and successful completion of a criminal background check.

  • Certification as a Bookkeeper (e.g., AIPB Certified Bookkeeper) or CPA‑level coursework.
  • Experience supporting SaaS‑based accounting solutions for small‑to‑mid‑size businesses.
