Job Description:

Join arenaflex as a Data Scientist – Real World Evidence Research

Are you passionate about transforming healthcare through data-driven insights? arenaflex is seeking a talented and motivated Data Scientist to join our Clinical Data Science team in Orlando, Florida. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for generating robust Real World Evidence (RWE) through advanced research methodologies and innovative analytical approaches in the clinical trials space. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on healthcare outcomes by leveraging your expertise in data science, statistics, and healthcare analytics.

As an Information Researcher at arenaflex, you will be an integral part of our Scientific Projects team, working collaboratively to address complex business questions through sophisticated data analysis. Your work will directly influence both internal strategic decision-making and external collaborations with biopharmaceutical partners. This position reports to the Chief of Clinical Data Science and offers significant exposure to cutting-edge healthcare research initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

As a Data Scientist specializing in Real World Evidence at arenaflex, you will be entrusted with a comprehensive set of responsibilities that span data acquisition, analysis, and strategic insight generation:

  • Data Mining and Preparation: Extract and transform raw datasets from internal data sources and authorized platforms to create normalized, analysis-ready patient cohorts. You will clean, validate, and structure complex healthcare data while ensuring data integrity and consistency throughout the pipeline.
  • Statistical Analysis: Conduct rigorous statistical analyses on Real World Evidence (RWE) and Real World Data (RWD) to uncover new insights regarding patient populations, treatment outcomes, and disease patterns. Apply advanced statistical methodologies including generalized linear models, clustering analysis, decision trees, unsupervised learning techniques, time series analysis, and survival analysis.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with various members of the arenaflex Clinical Trials team to deliver actionable insights from real world, clinical, and other data sources. Collaborate on projects addressing unmet medical needs, treatment efficacy in specific disease states, treatment patterns, healthcare economic burden, and cost-effectiveness modeling.
  • Data Infrastructure Development: Clean, transform, and store data into an integrated data lake architecture designed for future analysis and broader team utilization. Ensure data quality, accessibility, and security compliance throughout the data management lifecycle.
  • Research Study Design: Collaborate on the design and execution of outcomes research studies, including protocol development, statistical analysis planning, and result interpretation. Ensure all research activities maintain scientific rigor and regulatory compliance.
  • Dashboard and Report Development: Build comprehensive dashboards, analyses, and reports for both internal strategic planning and external stakeholder communication. Create clear, actionable visualizations that communicate complex findings effectively.
  • Vendor Management: Conduct due diligence on new real world data suppliers and vendors, driving RWD quality evaluations to inform project decisions and ensure data accuracy and reliability.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure high-quality, thorough, and readily interpretable deliverables from RWE reviews and investigations. Implement quality control processes and validation procedures to maintain research standards.
