About arenaflex Packaging Strategy & Operations

A position with arenaflex Packaging is an opportunity to contribute to the development of packaging for our cherished owned brands, exclusive partnerships, and travel packaging solutions. Your influence will drive sales and grow brand love through packaging that is customer-focused, on-brand, competitive "on shelf," and category-relevant. In this role, you'll leverage internal and external partnerships, collaborate on research and analysis to support packaging optimization, establish best practices for scale, and support sustainability initiatives.

As part of our global team, you'll have the opportunity to collaborate with arenaflex offices, product vendors, and packaging providers across the United States, China, India, and additional international locations. This position will support and impact all areas of our owned brand business. Key Responsibilities as Senior Packaging Strategy Lead

• Develop Foundational Data Infrastructure: Build critical data requirements, taxonomic structures, and specification compliance systems to support packaging design optimization and sustainability efforts across all arenaflex owned brand portfolios.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Consult with key sourcing, design, store operations, marketing, supply chain, properties, and compliance program leaders to establish relevant data requirements and flexible standards that consistently reflect our commitment to safety, reliability, cost-effectiveness, and performance.
• Process Optimization: Create and manage change processes to ensure accurate packaging document management portfolios across multiple systems and partner teams.
• Training Development: Develop, manage, and execute innovative training and creative content for internal and external audiences to drive comprehensive understanding of specifications, standards, and data accuracy best practices.
• Specification Analysis: Evaluate data requirements, standards, and specifications to optimize safe, reliable, and cost-effective solutions that align with industry standards, enhance quality engineering practices, are consistent with risk tolerance parameters, and maintain a leadership position in our industry.
• Cross-functional Guidance: Provide support and guidance to cross-functional teams and colleagues to ensure proper interpretation and implementation of packaging data requirements, standards, and specifications.
• Compliance Management: Consult with appropriate internal regulatory and compliance authorities, identifying impacts on current data requirements and standards, taking action to mitigate risks and identify opportunities to improve compliance.
• Global Partner Collaboration: Facilitate cross-functional global partnerships to drive effective communication and roadshows regarding established development goals, compliance, and data accuracy best practices and expectations.
• Performance Measurement: Utilize data to identify trends or issues, in partnership with technology teams, to measure effectiveness of training delivered and communications sent.
• Industry Analysis: Research industry trends and assess arenaflex's corresponding data and standards practices, sharing insights and recommendations with appropriate stakeholders for change and improvement.
• Leadership & Mentorship: Provide leadership and guidance to others, driving effectiveness and efficiency in team outcomes.
• Culture Building: Create and maintain a positive team culture by demonstrating behaviors consistent with arenaflex's values of Inclusivity, Connection, and Drive; ensure ongoing, effective communications to the team, and support individual development by providing regular performance feedback, coaching, recognition, and assessment.

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• 4+ years of experience developing and managing documentation and standards programs, preferably including packaging design and development
• Ability to influence without authority, manage projects, facilitate meetings, resolve conflict, build consensus, establish rapport, and collaborate effectively, internally and remotely, across all levels of an organization
• Experience with documentation best practices, technical writing, and reporting
• Skilled at developing and advising on content, structure, and delivery of effective training platforms, roadshows, and communications
• Experience leading teams and/or projects, driving collaboration, empowerment, and teamwork
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, creative thinking, and analytical skills
• Related experience with packaging or consumer goods manufacturing preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Flexibility and resilience; open to working in ambiguous and constantly changing environments
• Ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks, and work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work, communicate, and lead in a highly collaborative environment
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel), Visio applications
