Coprwriter/Content Writer/Journalist
Immediate need for a talented Coprwriter/Content Writer/Journalist. T his is 06-12+ Months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in US(Remote) . Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision). Key Responsibilities:
- Primary responsibility: Consolidate 7+ duplicate articles per topic into single master versions using existing material as source
- Content focus: Financial wellness and literacy articles for website (target: ~60 articles)
- Key challenge: Navigate politically sensitive environment where creators are protective of their individual work
- Writing approach: Not seeking unique perspective—need standard financial content with client’s tone, avoiding duplication
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
- Core expertise: Journalist, copywriter, or columnist with published writing samples demonstrating actual content creation (not just strategy/publishing)
- Education: English, communications, or journalism degree preferred
- Writing samples required: Must point to published articles on financial services sites (e.g., financial wellness sections, "5 things before 30" style content)
- Financial services background: Required; ability to identify content gaps (e.g., "when to open 401k") valued
- SEO expertise: Traditional keyword strategies plus understanding of AI/bot content consumption
- Required tools: BrightEdge (SEO platform), Google Search Console, Microsoft Word, Adobe Analytics
- Nice-to-have platforms: Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) from regulated industries; alternatives include WordPress, Squarespace, Sitecore
- AI tools: Microsoft Copilot and ChatGPT for writing assistance (not replacement)
- Content management: Ability to organize content libraries; work tracked in spreadsheets and project management platforms
- Political acumen: Thick skin, careful navigation, prioritizing collaboration over driving change
- Relationship building: Must gain trust of peers whose work will be consolidated/rewritten
- Soft approach: Respectful, measured, not aggressive with other writers
- Strategic vision: See larger picture of cleanup → unification → deduplication → rewrite → migration
- Gap identification: Recognize missing articles and write them from scratch using keyword research
