The Senior Electrical Engineer will combine hands‑on electrical and controls design with client engagement, mentoring junior staff, and leading project delivery.The position supports critical infrastructure projects such as water and wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, wells, and related facilities throughout the full project lifecycle.What the Senior Electrical Engineer Will DoLead and support electrical engineering design for water and wastewater infrastructure projectsProvide technical leadership on power distribution, motor control centers, standby power systems, and instrumentation & controlsDevelop scopes of work, cost estimates, and project documentationManage and coordinate multidisciplinary project teamsServe as a trusted technical advisor to clients and project stakeholdersSupport projects through planning, design, construction, and commissioningMentor and support junior engineering staffWork closely with operations staff, field crews, contractors, and fellow engineers to ensure designs are practical, safe, and buildableWho This Role Is ForThis role is ideal for a collaborative electrical engineering professional who enjoys working closely with operators, construction teams, and clients to deliver real‑world solutions.The ideal candidate:Is comfortable leading projects and balancing multiple prioritiesCommunicates clearly with both technical and non‑technical audiencesEnjoys mentoring others and strengthening team capabilityBrings a client‑first mindset and values long‑term relationshipsIs energized by contributing to business development and project growthHas experience delivering electrical designs that are practical to construct, operate, and maintainRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in electrical engineering7+ years of experience in electrical engineering design and construction projectsProfessional Engineer (PE) license in ArizonaOR currently licensed as a PE in another U.S. state with a complete NCEES record and the ability to obtain Arizona licensure without additional education or experienceWillingness to travel up to 50%, depending on project needsWillingness to relocate to TucsonPreferred Experience (Nice to Have)Experience in the municipal water and wastewater industryConsulting experienceInstrumentation & Controls experience (PLCs, SCADA integration)Project management experience Apply To This Job
