HS Social Studies Teacher

This position is a home based position. All teachers need to be Texas state certified and live within the state of Texas. Qualifications

Education/Certification:- Completed a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university

• Valid Texas Teacher Certification in your area of instruction

Experience- Experience with mastery-based or individualized learning approaches to student education (Preferred)

• 1-3 years of teaching experience in a Texas Public School
• 1-3 years of virtual teaching experience (Preferred)
• Have two or more years of documented experience teaching online courses for students in Grades 3-12, AND successfully completed continuing professional development specific to online learning every three years (Preferred)

• Use accomplished pedagogical expertise to execute lessons aligned to state standards while relating to and anticipating student needs through progress monitoring
• Use differentiate instruction to personalize learning and proactively minimize confusion or disengagement
• Deliver instruction to generate further student inquiry to promote problem-solving, real-world application, and high order thinking
• Establish an overwhelmingly positive class climate so regardless of what a student may be dealing with personally, your classroom is an emotional and social oasis
• Utilize analytical and reflective method for formal and informal student data
• Display mutual respect with students while maintaining an emotionally safe and supportive learning environment
