Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Virtual Medical Assistant - Data Entry Specialist to support our Cardiologist/Surgeon's medical practice. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and efficient data entry processes, contributing to the smooth functioning of the medical practice. This is a full-time remote position, and we are looking for someone who can work effectively in the Mountain Time zone to align with client schedules.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure accurate and efficient data entry processes, contributing to the smooth functioning of the medical practice
- Review referrals, log into hospital portals to retrieve records for the next day's patients, rename records, attach records, and perform other related tasks
- Double-check incoming referrals to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Manage multiple tasks efficiently, utilizing excellent organizational skills
- Collaborate with the team to ensure seamless data entry processes and high-quality patient care
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines at all times
Requirements
* 2-3 years of experience in a relevant field, preferably in US healthcare settings
- Proven experience in data entry, with a strong understanding of data entry and auditing processes
- Experience working with electronic health records (EHRs) and hospital portals
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Ability to work effectively in the Mountain Time zone to align with client schedules
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience working with arenaflex's electronic health records (EHRs) system
- Knowledge of medical terminology and coding systems (e.g., ICD-10, CPT)
- Experience with data analysis and reporting
- Certification in medical assisting or a related field (e.g., CMA, RMA)
