Director of Membership and Philanthropic Engagement
About the Opportunity FADICA Catholic Philanthropy Network is a national community of Catholic-inspired funders committed to informed and effective giving for a vital Catholic Church and the common good. FADICA convenes, resources, and connects members, fostering member collaboration, learning and impact around shared funding interests, such as: Catholic ministries, education, Church vitality, care for creation, international giving, and more. The Director of Membership and Philanthropic Engagement is a high-energy, goal-driven professional who advances the growth and engagement of FADICA's membership and partner network. This role focuses on cultivating relationships with prospective members, supporting member participation, and contributing to the organization's broader development efforts. This team member will play an important part in thoughtfully expanding FADICA's membership community in ways that reflect its values, peer network, and commitment to Catholic philanthropy.
Key Responsibilities
Membership Growth & Network Development Set and achieve annual membership growth and engagement goals Cultivate relationships with prospective members and partners in alignment with FADICA's mission and values Thoughtfully engage and invite new philanthropic leaders into the FADICA network Partner with colleagues to ensure a strong and meaningful member experience that supports retention Maintain a portfolio of prospective members and track engagement over time Strategic Partnerships Build and maintain relationships with institutional partners, peer organizations, and aligned networks Support partnership opportunities tied to convenings and initiatives Represent FADICA in external settings to strengthen relationships and visibility Market Insight & Positioning Stay informed about trends in philanthropy and philanthropy-serving organizations Share insights to inform outreach and engagement strategies Cross-Organizational Collaboration Work closely with program and communications teams to align engagement priorities with programmatic work Work closely with the membership team and support outreach and communications efforts related to member outreach and partnerships Systems & Operations Maintain accurate records of member and prospective member engagement, including that of the CEO and EVP, in CRM systems Track progress toward membership goals and provide consistent reporting Qualifications 5-10 years of professional experience in membership development, business development, major gifts, fundraising, or related external-facing roles Demonstrated ability to build, cultivate, and advance relationships with prospective stakeholders, donors, or institutional partners Highly organized and self-directed, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain momentum across longer relationship timelines Experience setting and working toward growth, engagement, or fundraising goals, with a track record of follow-through and results Proven ability to identify and engage new audiences or constituents in a thoughtful, relationship-driven way Comfort managing a portfolio of relationships and maintaining consistent outreach over time Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage credibly with senior philanthropic leaders Experience in philanthropy, nonprofit networks, or membership-based organizations strongly preferred Who You Are: A self-starter with a strong sense of urgency and ownership Relational and able to build trust quickly Passionate about identifying and inviting Catholic philanthropists into FADICA membership Thoughtful and strategic, able to align outreach with organizational values and commitment to Catholic philanthropy Adaptable and has a learning mindset Success Metrics Achieve monthly and quarterly growth targets Build and strengthen pathways from prospect engagement to membership Strategize with the team on increasing long-term retention
Compensation and Benefits
