Key Responsibilities

As a Benefits Customer Service Specialist/Benefits Representative, you'll be responsible for:

  • Providing exceptional customer service through active listening, empathy, and a friendly demeanor
  • Guiding customers through their options, ensuring they're fully informed about every detail and making the best choices
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date internal and customer-facing support documentation
  • Working with confidential customer information and treating it sensitively
  • Providing recommendations for continuous product and process improvement
  • Resolving inquiries and issues efficiently, with a focus on first-call resolution
  • Processing enrollments, changes, and updates to benefit coverage
  • Assisting existing clients with account management, billing issues, content, and basic product applications
  • Building scalable customer-facing resources for common questions and issues

Essential Qualifications

* Previous experience in a customer-facing role is preferred but not required

  • Strong communication skills, with a clear, friendly, and professional tone

  • Comfortable using technology and learning new systems quickly
