Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Service & Returns Associate, you'll be responsible for:

  • Greeting and welcoming customers in a friendly and professional manner, creating a positive first impression and setting the tone for a great shopping experience
  • Providing exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving any issues in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring that customers leave our store satisfied and eager to return
  • Handling returns and exchanges according to company policies and procedures, maintaining accuracy and completeness of all transactions
  • Maintaining a thorough understanding of arenaflex products, promotions, and services to effectively assist customers and provide personalized recommendations
  • Communicating and collaborating with other team members to ensure a smooth and positive customer experience, working together to resolve any issues that may arise
  • Keeping track of customer interactions and escalating any complex or unresolved issues to the appropriate department, ensuring that customers receive the support they need
  • Actively seeking out opportunities to improve the customer experience and reporting any recurring issues to management, driving continuous improvement and excellence
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work area to create a welcoming environment for customers, adhering to company standards and expectations
  • Staying updated on product knowledge, policies, and procedures to provide accurate information to customers, ensuring that our customers receive the best possible service
  • Adhering to company safety and security protocols to protect customers, employees, and company assets, maintaining a safe and secure shopping environment
  • Attending training and meetings as required to stay current on company updates and policies, staying informed and up-to-date on the latest developments
  • Cross-selling and upselling products and services to meet sales goals, driving revenue growth and exceeding customer expectations
  • Continuously striving to meet and exceed customer satisfaction goals set by the company, delivering exceptional results and exceeding expectations

Essential Qualifications

* High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset

  • 1-2 years of customer service experience in a retail or similar environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of energy and enthusiasm
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time, with a high level of mobility and flexibility

Preferred Qualifications

* Previous experience in a customer-facing role, with a strong track record of delivering exceptional customer service

  • Knowledge of arenaflex products and services, with a passion for home furnishings and design
  • Experience working in a team environment, with a strong ability to collaborate and communicate with colleagues
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with point-of-sale systems and other retail technology
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, with a high level of availability and flexibility
