Start your K&A Career: We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Senior Civil Site Engineer to join our team at K&A Engineering Remote. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting and challenging projects that make a real impact in the energy and utility sectors. You’ll be part of a dynamic, people-focused team where your expertise, ideas, and contributions will be valued and celebrated. Role Expectations:
- Lead the design of civil site projects including access roads, grading, drainage, erosion control, etc for utility projects.
- Coordinate design activities independently and within a project team to maintain project schedule, ensure successful project completion.
- Perform site visits and walk downs to confirm field conditions.
- Review and manage sub-contractor designs of civil site development.
- Coordinate with local AHJs to understand project requirements and implement into designs and bids
- Prepare permits and application documents including SWPPPs, Wind Certification, etc
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s Degree (BS) in Civil Engineering
- 8+ years of relevant experience in civil site designs for electrical transmission and substation facilities
- Design experience using MicroStation, AutoCAD, Civil 3D or related tools.
- Expert knowledge of local, state, and federal building code requirements (ASCE 113, ASCE 7, IBC, NESC)
- Flexibility, creative problem-solving and above-average interpersonal/ communication/collaboration (Team) skills are required.
- Proficient in using enterprise communication software (SharePoint, MS Teams, or similar platforms)
- PE required
